Anton Marik's Revolt[edit]

Realizing that Anton Marik's Revolt was only having success where Wolf's Dragoons led the attack, Janos Marik reinforced Sophie's World with three BattleMech regiments and numerous conventional regiments. When Delta Regiment and Epsilon Regiment attacked Sophie's World, they found themselves outnumbered. However, they fought well and even gained the upper hand when Alpha Regiment arrived to assist. The Loyalist Marik forces were forced to surrender Sophie's World, but everyone knew that Anton's rebellion was finished.[11]

Dark Age[edit]

Left independent after the League fragmented during the Blakist Jihad, Sophie's World was courted and then absorbed bloodlessly into the Oriente Protectorate by March 3137.[28]

The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of 4.512 billion for Sophie's World and describes the environment as "desert" (out of only three broad impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert," "ice," and "tropical"). The description one-liner reads "A center for the arts and learning."
