==General== '''Flechs Sheets''' is a browser-based, networked, record-sheet playing-aid designed for tablets that can also print sheets from your browser. ==Goals== A browser-based, networked, record-sheet playing-aid designed for tablets. Project goals include: * Facilitate in-person BattleTech game-play, particularly novice-to-intermediate-level formats, i.e. 4v4 succession wars era biped mechs on standard terrain using rules from AGoAC boxed set or the BattleMech Manual. By facilitate the designer means: :* Support decision making by presenting dense but glanceable information, per existing record-sheets. :* Auto-resolve events, where possible, optionally, e.g. players can declare attacks and autoresolve to-hit, cluster, and location rolls on/at units tracked on paper or in FS (or in FS on another device), and further resolve damage application and effects for targets tracked in FS. FS will track and buffer end-of-phase roll obligations for a controlling player to resolve (or dismiss) when ready. Automations can be disabled. :* Prevent rule-breaking actions that are likely mistakes, e.g. declaring a push after firing an arm mounted weapon. :* Integrate with paper sheets and dice via manual marking and unmarking functionality. This also means allowing for outside-the-rules actions like correcting mistakes, friendly undo’s, making pregame scenario-specific adjustments, applying gamemaster dictates, and manually incorporating the effects of house rules. Users can ‘export’ units from FS ‘to paper’, i.e. print sheets. :* Mitigate UI friction; Minimize data-entry. FS can only ever have partial information about the overall game-state so some data-entry is unavoidable for some automations to work, for example, setting hexes traveled is necessary for resolving a successful charge attack. :* Provide granular tiered support for other eras. Ideally, minimally, any cannon unit is viewable / printable, if not manually markable, regardless of whether all the rules for all of its equipment have been fully implemented. * Additional metafunctionality: :* Unit catalog. Players can search for canon units by name and load data for use (sans artwork). :* Use personal images on sheets, e.g. take a photo of a miniature for display on the corresponding record-sheet. :* "Add to home screen" for full screen and offline use. :* Import custom designs, i.e. MegaMek .mtf files, FS equipment limitations permitting, sans validation checks and calculations of cost and battle value. :* Deep-link to specific units and forces. ==External links== * [https://sheets.flechs.net Flechs Sheets] * [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYa1G-rX9mE Youtube video example] [[Category:Battletech Design Software]]
