Description[edit]
The Sprint scout helicopter is a nimble fast scout platform popular within the Inner Sphere. It was first released in 3052 with much success to the beleaguered units along the Clan invasion corridor, where it was able to keep tabs on the swift deployments of the Clans and call in artillery from afar. Such was its success that it quickly became a favored unit within scout and recon detachments throughout the Inner Sphere where it continues to see widespread use. However the nature of battlefields within the Inner Sphere often highlight the one flaw of the design, its mediocre armor.[1]
Weapons and Equipment[edit]
As its purpose is recon and artillery spotting, the Sprint relies on a single Beagle active probe, a TAG, and its swift speed. It is unarmed.[1]
Variants[edit]
- Laser
- This variant drops the TAG for a single medium laser BV(1.0)=353[5], BV (2.0) = 220[6]
- C3i
- Forgoing all equipment for an Improved C3 system, this design is favored by both the Word of Blake and ComStar. BV (1.0) = 12[11], BV (2.0) = 71[12]
- Interdictor
- This variant trades the Beagle probe for a Guardian ECM suite, allowing Coalition forces to disrupt Word of Blake communication networks and targeting systems.[13] BV (2.0) = 139[14]
