Stephen Dauphin was the commanding officer of the Alnasi Militia during the War of 3039.[1]

On 15 April 3039, Alnasi became one of the first worlds attacked by the joint forces of the Lyran Commonwealth and Federated Suns in their invasion of the Draconis Combine. Tai-sa Dauphin's planetary militia were outgunned and outnumbered by the opposing First Argyle Lancers and Twenty-sixth Lyran Guards, so he ordered his men to go to ground. Over the next few days, Dauphin's militiamen waged a guerrilla war aimed at destroying the invader's supply caches and resource convoys, which successfully slowed the enemy offensive but did not change the outcome of the battle. On 25 April, the capital city of Gantarius was surrounded and the city's defenders forced to surrender, although Dauphin's sole BattleMech company continued to hold out into mid-May.[1]
