Considered the heart and soul of the Republic Armed Forces, Stone's Brigade was among its most elite and fanatical defenders, each unit noted for its personal connection to founding Exarch Devlin Stone.[1][2]

History[edit]

Largely predating the other unit's of the RAF, Stone's Brigade were noted to receive the best equipment and highest priority with the Department of Requisition and Replacement, along with having first pick of the Republic's military academy graduates. Though other brigades in the RAF may grumble at this preferential treatment, during the founding decades of the Republic few could deny that the unit's of the Brigade had not earned it via their vital role as part of Devlin Stone's forces during the Word of Blake Jihad, fighting at the forefront of both Operation GOLDEN DAWN and GOLDEN FORTRESS,[1] and their notable role in the Capellan Crusades.[2]

Origin[edit]

The Stone's Lament was a military combat unit formed in the fires of Kittery's Resistance group in 3072.[3], and possibly even earlier in 3071.[4] Led by Devlin Stone, they would break out of Word of Blake reeducation camp RBMU 105 in 3071 and form the Kittery Freedom Army. Survivors of the resistance group, formed the first unit of what would become Stone's Brigade, with Belle Lee as its commander.[5]
