Support Battalion
Formed 3004[1]
Nickname Verhoffen's Rogues [2]
Affiliation Mercenary
Parent Command Wolf's Dragoons

The Support Battalion was a support formation within the larger mercenary unit Wolf's Dragoons.[2]

Although called a Battalion and is shown to be one on paper, it rarely operates as a complete formation. Rather they are broken down into smaller groups and assigned to the other formations within the Dragoons. Due to the inconsistent nature of the assignments the Rogues are assigned, it noted that the Battalion is no more than a "disassociated assortment of units" and there is no "esprit de corps" despite efforts from its commanders.[2]

It was assigned to the Home Guard formation after the Battle of Misery[2]

History[edit]

Anton's Revolt[edit]

In April 3014 the Support Battalion, along with the rest of the Dragoons was on Campertown immediately prior to the start of Anton Marik's Revolt. The Battalion would remain on New Delos throughout the campaign, though elements would detach and attach to other units as standard. Following the 15 March news of Anton's execution of Joshua Wolf and other Dragoons, Jaime Wolf sent Epsilon Regiment, the Support Battalion, and Special Recon Group (who all presumably departed New Delos with Jaime days earlier) to Second Chance with the Dragoons’ dependents while the remaining forces returned to New Delos.[3][4]

Consolidation[edit]

Sometime prior to the Clan Invasion the Support Battalion would be absorbed into Support Command.[5]
