In 2764 the Lola III-class destroyer SLS Surveillante was the flagship of the Silent Specters, the Fifty-ninth Reconnaissance Squadron, one of the squadrons within the Star League Defense Force Fifth Fleet. The Surveillante was the flagship of the squadron commander, Vice Admiral Severin Littlejohn, and like the other ships within the Fifty-ninth, most commonly operated as part of a three-ship group scouting uninhabited systems.[1]
