History[edit]
Susan Flandrey was known as shy and retiring, a loner who sought little contact with others when off duty, apparently preferring to spend her spare time writing. Her fellow Dragoons, however, were never able to read her work, and beyond the fact she was a forceful but understated commander, knew little else about her.[1]
As of early 3028, Flandrey was serving as the commander of Flandrey's Company of Baker Battalion. Following the Battle of Misery, Flandrey became commander of Beta Regiment's First Provisional Company, as part of which she went on to fight in the Battle of Wapakoneta and the Battle of Crossing.
On Wapakoneta Flandrey assumed command of task force Red Fire comprising the remnants of Beta's First and Second Provisional Companies, during the defense of the city of Hannibal in May 3029, defeating a lance of Proserpina Hussars in the remains of an ice sculpture park before being pinned in place by Hussar reinforcements. Captain Flandrey subsequently ordered a retreat into the city's vast underground mining facilities, successfully disengaging as Captain Ramon Magdaleno led the Hussars into a trap further into the tunnels.[2]
On Crossing, Flandrey was again in the thick of the action, this time having her 'Mech destroyed.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Flandrey was known to pilot a Thunderbolt BattleMech, which was destroyed on Crossing.[1]
