Major Susan Kelly was aide to Colonel David Renard, the commanding officer of the Federated Commonwealth forces Carver V during the early stages FedCom Civil War. When Renard declared support for the pro-Steiner factions Kelly would distance herself from her former friend.
History[edit]
Carver V[edit]
Major Kelly would work with both Baxter and the Mercenary Commander to help defeat House Steiner and Liao. As part of the contract she gave the mercenaries a full supply of Clan weapons and 'Mechs captured from the Clans. However, she refused to attack Renard due to his seniority in rank and personal friendship. Under Kelly's employment the mercenary would be tasked with hitting Liao and Steiner supplies and rescuing downed DropShip crew members. Impressed with the Mercenary Commander's work, she knew that the people of Carver V would not embrace the mercenaries as a hero, as she had seen this scenario happen before. So both Baxter and Major Kelly offered a symbol to rally around: The destruction of the Liao Palace on Carver V. This would both restore the people's morale and remove House Liao from the planet. After the destruction of the palace, Colonel Renard would offer forgiveness if Major Kelly turned against the mercenary, but she refused telling him that he had to be stopped. After seeing how far Renard had gone, she realized that he had to die in order for Carver V to be free, but still refused to attack him despite this. When Renard died, she felt remorseful about losing a friend in battle.[1]
