Sycreeta Melander was a notable MechWarrior in the Crater Cobras mercenary command.[1]
History[edit]
Sergeant Melander murdered three men on her home planet and was sentenced to death for her actions. The courts did not take into account that Melander's victims were criminals who regularly abused her family, as their society considered it a capital offense for a woman to kill a man. A sympathetic bureaucrat freed Melander from captivity and she spent several hard years underground before stowing away on a DropShip bound for Galatea. At the Mercenary's Star, she leveraged her experiences with operating and maintaining LoaderMechs to gain a position as an astech with the Crater Cobras. After spending five years with men who actually respected her, Melander earned a berth in the Cobras as a MechWarrior.[1]
