Talawar Marius was the commanding officer of the Marian Hegemony's III Legio as of 3067.[1]

History[edit]

Prefect Marius, serving with the IIII Legio, was stationed on Ballalaba in 3067.[1] During the Jihad, Marius pushed Caesar Cassius O'Reilly to deploy the III Legio into the disintegrating Free Worlds League in order to earn glory but was instead sent to the Hegemony's border with the Magistracy of Canopus. Marius was chastened to realize that he held no influence with the new ruler of the Hegemony but continued to launch raids against both the League and the Canopians in order to earn what glory he could.[2] By 3085, Marius remained in command of the III Legio and lead a joint deployment to Islington and Baccalieu.[3]
