Talk:List of Standard Jump Jet Types

Formats[edit]

The fist list would be potentially more useful in that it offers a lookup by mech type or model number. However it will also end up being much larger in that there will be many more entries to add. The shorter list will at least provide a way to figure out the question "where did it come from" with specific model information being left on the specific manufacturer pages. Thoughts?-- LRichardson 21:34, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Wow...I didn't know we could sort.--Rev (talk|contribs) 23:45, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
Hehehe. I was cruising Wikipedia for "Lists" to see how they handled potentially large sets of grouped items and I noticed the syntax for a sortable list. It is only 1st order sortable though. -- LRichardson 01:17, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
First order sortable? I presume that's where it can't sort the second chosen column when items in the first column are equal?--Rev (talk|contribs) 02:39, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
Yup, once you have your sorted column it puts everything else in the order it appears in the list, so you cannot sort by brand then planet, you just have to pick the brand then read through a jumbled list of planets within the brand. -- LRichardson 20:11, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
