Talk:My neveron history

  • Rantamplan, thanks for joining Sarna as an article Creator.
As a BattleTech wiki, Sarna is supposed to be an encyclopedia of the CBT world. While Neveron is definitely something worthy of inclusion (and I would like to see the article expanded to best describe the game), an article titled 'My Neveron History' just doesn't belong there (in my opinion), since the article title describes only your experience. However...that same article you wrote would be perfect for your User page. If you cut and paste this article there, I'd be glad to wikilink it for you, so that it links to Neveron (and Neveron's article linking to your page). In the mean time, I'll start setting up a template (of sorts) to build the Neveron article.
What do you think? Revanche 17:44, 25 September 2006 (CDT)

well, sincerelly i dont mind :S i just readed a post in sarna.net forums of nic jansma looking for some help for filling the page and thougth the history was nice as an example of what you can expect from neveron and that therefore it fit in a page about neveron but if it doesnt its ok that you remove it, i sincerelly wasnt planing to have a personal page in wikky and i dont understadn quite well the difference between having the article here or having a link to where the article is... i think that if the article doesnt fit the spirit of the page it doesnt mather its here or in other place but maybe there is some difference i dont see.

Anyway, im not sure how to create my own page or how to bring the article to any other place, i would say that you can do with it what you want, either deleting it if it doesnt fit or moving it elsewere or... if i have to do something like raising it to my personal page then ill need some instructions on how to create my page and such.

My apologices if i dont understand quite well how wikipedia works :S

  • No, I should be sorry. I was working on the assumption that you knew you had your own page here, as soon as you register. If you go to the top of the page (any page) you'll see your registered name and then a link called 'My Talk.' The page with your name (User Page, also linked in red in my first post) is where you post anything you want about yourself (hence why this article is perfect there). The 'My Talk' page is kinda like PMs or e-mail (though...not as clean). That's where people can talk to you and you can respond (like you and I are doing here). If you tell me what you'd like me to do, I'd be glad to help you. Or, I can talk you through it, so you can rank up in your 'wiki-fu.' For example, you can sign your posts with 4 tildes (~~~~) and it'll automagically 'sign' your name to these posts, with the time you did them. Like this --> Revanche 07:13, 28 September 2006 (CDT)
