Talk:Operation Higashikuni (Canon Event)

What's the purpose of having this article as a distinct entry from Operation Higashikuni? Are we making the distinction between the in-universe operation and the real-world gameplay event that established it as canon? Tosta Dojen (talk) 18:41, 29 August 2020 (EDT)

Wondering the same thing. The existing article already covered both the in-universe event and the WWE. There is no reason to have two distinct articles. Frabby (talk) 01:29, 30 August 2020 (EDT)
I have to disagree on this. For me it is clear that there are two articles needed: one explains the event. How it was organized, why and also the results of the event, while the other should explain the in-universe actions. If you feel data is mixed, we should align them to be clear in their differentiation.--Pserratv (talk) 04:05, 8 September 2020 (EDT)
That sounds like a reasonable approach, but the articles need further differentiation to focus on their respective subjects. Tosta Dojen (talk) 09:32, 8 September 2020 (EDT)
I'll try to take some time to review them.--Pserratv (talk) 10:19, 8 September 2020 (EDT)
I've made some basic changes modeled on the articles Battle of Monte Diablo and The Battle of Monte Diablo (World Wide Event), which do a reasonable job of differentiating between an in-universe event and the associated real-world gameplay. Tosta Dojen (talk) 11:11, 9 September 2020 (EDT)
