Introduction[edit]

I notice in Era Digest: Age of War the introduction is dated in 2456 and in the 'mech article, the first building is in 2570, hmm i think this is a very long time stretch about the two dates, any thoughts.--Doneve 03:00, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Inconsistencies[edit]

In the variants section, should it be in the present or past tense? It seems to switch around a lot. BobTheZombie (talk) 08:31, 26 June 2013 (PDT)

I've always been under the impression that Sarna endeavours to use the past tense where possible, but I can't remember seeing it documented anywhere. Frabby's a good person to ask... BrokenMnemonic (talk) 09:32, 26 June 2013 (PDT)

Apochryphal Variant: ON1-P Protector[edit]

The ON1-K Kerensky appears in MechWarrior Online as the ON1-P Protector Hero 'Mech, also notable for its extremely distinctive black and orange paintjob. The snub-nose PPC is replaced with a standard model due to the former not being implemented in game, but the layout is otherwise identical.121.99.60.113 21:49, 7 September 2013 (PDT)

SRM Placement[edit]

I am so glad to see that this article describes the Orion's SRM launcher as being on the left arm as it should be, rather than stubbornly insisting that it is instead located in the left torso. For some reason they keep denying that there is a simple typo in the stat block (LT instead of LA) and instead insist that all of the artwork and all of the descriptive text of the Orion, even though the Orion's LA/LT would hardly be the only typo in that book. For further evidence, if any more is even needed; the ON1-V variant actually has a second SRM added to the right arm, and we are apparently supposed to believe the designers actually moved the original SRM from the left torso the the left arm before adding an SRM to the right arm, rather than just adding an additional SRM to the right arm to match the left. That's actually something that may need to be fixed. The original record sheet in BattleTech Reinforcements has the SRM4 in the LT but BattleTech Record Sheets: 3025 & 3026 and some later books moved it to the LA. Record Sheets: 3039 and Record Sheets: Succession Wars have it back in the LT. New products supersede old, so unless there is errata or a newer record sheet product putting it back in the LA, the article should have the SRM4 in the LT. And the current "note" should be rewritten to further explain the issue.--Cache (talk) 18:53, 22 August 2021 (EDT)
This canon clash was firmly fixed with the publication of TRO:3039. The left arm location was retconned, and the original text as found in TRO:3025 regarding this issue should be considered non-canon moving forward.--GreekFire (talk) 19:32, 22 August 2021 (EDT)
I was mistaken about RS:3025&26+ in my earlier statement. (Left it there but struck out to highlight my shame.) I found no record sheets with the SRM4 in the left arm. Added further correction/clarification to the article.--Cache (talk) 21:20, 22 August 2021 (EDT)
