I have not altered the data in the box, but there are slightly different configurations:

  • In TR 3057, the Scout is 90k tons, standard tech base, has 158 heat sinks and 4 escape pods.
  • In the 1986 AstroTech rulebook, the Scout is 75k tons and has 0+121 heat sinks.
  • The mass is given as 79k tons in the Mercenary's Handbook (no further data, some info on the Quetzacoatl variant) and the Battlespace rulebook (Tech base standard, 158 heat sinks, DS capacity erroneously given as 0)

Other data, esp. length and jump sail size, are consistent among the different sources. Frabby 11:17, 18 December 2007 (CST)

I thought that might have been the case. This is one of those instances where the info from the original version (DS + JS and AeroTech) is different than the "new technology" versions. I would recommend that we look at doing that in the Variants section, the same way that the 'Mechs are handled. It appears (from my short investigation) that the main InfoBox shows the 3025/26 standard configuration and the newer ones are discussed in the Variants section. Thoughts? Discrepance[edit]

In Mercenary's Handbook 3055 p. 43, i found the Scout-class JumpShip is refert as DropShip as the Lone Ranger and Strider (JumpShip), but i cant found any info as this class was a DropShip, has anyone errate or confirm this.--Doneve (talk) 16:37, 16 November 2014 (PST)

There's a recent thread at bg.BT.com about it. The book isn't referring to the JumpShip. Possibly the dropship was planned at the time but never made it into a product. Nothing exists except the name. Cache (talk) 17:22, 16 November 2014 (PST)
There's even a MUL entry for the Scout-class DropShip, so it exists in canon. But no stats have been published for it so far. Frabby (talk) 22:56, 16 November 2014 (PST)
