Tara was a MechWarrior, who served in Clan Smoke Jaguar's 101st Jaguar Attack Cluster, as of 3058.[2]
History[edit]
In 3058 Tara was part of a Charlie Recon Star, under the command of a Star Commander Jeles, which formed part of the 101st Jaguar Attack Cluster's garrison on the Deep Periphery world Wayside. Together with the rest of her comrades in this Star, Tara was an unblooded Warrior fresh from her Trial of Position when he was assigned to this Tau Galaxy Cluster.
On 3 July 3058, Tara participated in the initial stages of the Battle of Wayside, when the world was attacked by the Stirling's Fusiliers on behalf of the Draconis Combine. While the defending Jaguars were stronger than the invading Inner Sphere forces had expected, and were able to bloody the Northwind Highlanders unit, the Jaguars were unable to prevent their landing on Wayside.[2] During this battle all of Star Captain Kerndon troops initially attacked the crash landed Fortress-class DropShip Retribution and its six surviving BattleMechs, but the arrival of Major Loren Jaffray resulted in the death of Tara and all her comrades except Kerndon when the hydrogen tanks of the Retribution were intentionally detonated.[2][1]

The "A Deal With the Dragon" scenario in the Northwind Highlanders scenario pack erroneously gives the date of these events as 5 July 3058, but Impetus of War Chapter 9 has those events occurring on 3 July.
