Noted for her beauty, the chief executive of Killosh Industries during the early decades of the twenty-eighth century had a long and secret friendship with the the head of the Star League Defense Forces Quartermaster Command General Aaron Clavy despite the potential conflict of interest.[1][2]
When the Star League Defense Forces issued a call for dedicated infantry support tank designs featuring Ferro-Fibrous armor, Killosh Industries was among the dozens of companies that submitted proposals. Though many believed that Leopard Armor's Prowler was the likely choice, seemingly with what some observers considered minimal review and debate the SLDF Quartermaster Command promptly bestowed on Killosh Industries what some critics called "the gift of the Magi" by selecting their design.[1][2]
Six months later when news of the Halloran's friendship with Clavy came to light, testing of the Magi was halted and General Clavy was transferred to the Transport Command as a full-blown investigation was launched to confirm if the pair's relationship had unduly influenced Clavy's selection of Killosh's design. Ultimately the eighteen-month inquiry could uncover no sign of any wrongdoing on Clavy's part, and testing of the prototypes resumed with its sterling performance silencing the critics.[1][2]
