Star Colonel Teng was the commanding officer of the 167th Garrison Cluster, of Clan Nova Cat's Zeta Provisional Galaxy, as of 3062.[2]

Boltin[edit]
In 3058, as a member of the 167th Garrison Cluster, then-MechWarrior Teng was a part of the Nova Cat garrison on the Deep Periphery world Boltin. On 17 July, Teng's CO Star Captain Mandrake fielded a Batchall from what he thought was a Clan Smoke Jaguar raiding force seeking to avenge its earlier loss of Boltin, but was actually an undercover Stirling's Fusiliers force led by Major Loren Jaffray who were seeking to incite a revenge assault on Wayside by the Nova Cats where the Fusiliers' comrades were struggling to subdue the local Clan Smoke Jaguar garrison. Mandrake accepted the offered Trial of Refusal, bidding a mixed Star of BattleMechs and Elementals which included Teng, to fight over the abandoned Jaguar base where the covert Northwind Highlanders had taken up residence.[1][3]
During the Trial, Teng's 'Mech was disabled and later salvaged by the Highlanders after the Nova Cat Star was defeated by Major Jaffray.[3]
Yamarovka[edit]
By 3062, Teng had been promoted to Star Colonel, and overall command of the 167th Garrison Cluster. At that time the 167th Garrison Cluster was stationed on Yamarovka.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Teng was known to have piloted a Warhammer IIC BattleMech.[1][3]
