The Changing Role of Women

The Changing Role of Women was a written work, authored by Frieda du Quoy and published by Sargasso Press, in 2602.[1]

Overview[edit]

This work provided an account of how the role of women changes over time, in different societies within the Inner Sphere, including the Federated Suns. It noted that the status of women within the Suns was greatly influenced by the presence (or not) of women in senior leadership roles, with President Marie Davion's reign from 2371 to 2417, being a high point based on the model of womanhood she provided.

The work when on to note the status of women however regressed in the following 50 years, with women being largely relegated to the home, until Ellen Davion's ascension as First Prince in 2467 reversed this trend.[1]
