System Description[edit]
Theta Pyxidis is a recurrent nova, a variable binary star system. The system is located approximately 16 light-years anti-spinward of Paxon. The recurrent nova flares brightly every 6407 days. As seen from the surface of Paxon, the flaring of Theta Pyxidis is a popular spectacle, and is celebrated with a week of festivals called the Star Festival.[1]
