Planetary History[edit]

Clan Invasion[edit]

Tinaca was targeted by Clan Ghost Bear during the fifth wave of Operation REVIVAL. Ghost Bear forces arrived in January 3052 and deployed the 115th Striker Cluster's Bravo Supernova; they were opposed by the planet's only garrison forces, the First Sun Zhang Academy Cadre, who were technically ordered to surrender rather than risk combat with the enemy. Star Captain Edore DelVillar also wished to capture as many of these cadets alive as possible so they could become bondsmen. The cadets though disregarded their orders and engaged the Ghost Bears as soon as they landed at Nearmiss. The cadets threw themselves at the Clan warriors with a great fury, performing death from above attacks and other desperate maneuvers, and giving the Ghost Bears little choice but to kill many of them. Finally, Star Captain DelVillar ordered her Supernova's OmniMechs try to destroy the legs of as many enemy 'Mechs as they could while Elementals went about prying cadets out of their fallen machines. By this method the Cluster was able to capture a battalion's worth of cadets alive.[34]

With eighty-five percent of its surface covered in water Tinaca had a single landmass, The Island, with at least some areas being arid in climate. Woods were a terrain feature in at least one area.[1]
