System Description[edit]
The Tincalunas system was located in the Periphery, near the Herotitus and Untran systems.[1][2]
System History[edit]
The Tincalunas system was colonized by the Capellan Confederation during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War and was a member of the Sian Commonality; when colonized, the system was named Huanghuadian.[3][4][5] Huanghuadian vanished from maps during the Second Succession War, indicating that the system had been abandoned or depopulated.[6][7]
The planet was abandoned after its moon was shattered by the tidal forces from a nearby gas giant, causing constant volcanism on the surface.[8]
The planet was recolonized by the Fronc Reaches during the Dark Age.[9]

Planetary History[edit]
Dark Age[edit]
The world of Huanghuadian was resettled by the Fronc Reaches as part of a colonization program that began in 3099 following a boom in the economy of the Reaches, as a result of domestic and foreign policy changes by President Elaine Hadley that saw rapid growth in the domestic military-industrial sectors of the economy. The world was renamed Tincalunas, by 3120, Tincalunas and two nearby worlds were colonized as part of the same program. Appian and Mandalas, had reached a point where they were self-sustaining agriculturally and by 3135, each was contributing to the overall gross domestic product of the Reaches through agricultural surpluses, mining, and trade. The settlers on Tincalunas originated from a mix of independent and Capellan Confederation worlds.[9]

Note[edit]
It was confirmed by the map author,[dead link] Øystein Tvedten, that the system name "Mollako" shown on maps within Handbook: House Liao is in error, and the correct name for the planet located on the maps of the Star League era is "Huanghuadian", as seen on page 121 of Handbook: Major Periphery States.
“ | Mollako is a mistake, it should be gone from the map. The proper name of the world is Huanghuadian and it was abandoned/depopulated during the 1st Succession War. | ” |
— Øystein Tvedten, 31 August 2011 |
It was also confirmed that Huanghuadian was resettled as the world of Tincalunas by the Capellan Confederation.
“ | Huanghuadian from founding to removal (1st Succession War casualty). Then repopulated by House Liao in the post-Jihad era sometime and renamed Tincalunas. | ” |
— Øystein Tvedten, 31 August 2011 |
