Tobias Klein was a MechWarrior in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces serving with the Nineteenth Arcturan Guards.[1]

Tobias Klein is the eldest son of Defiance Industries board member Emma Klein and was stationed on Benfled by 10 January 3025. When distribution began of the newly designed Hatchetman, the Independent People of Skye, fighting off constant attacks from Draconis Combine raiders, took offense that the Social General-heavy Nineteenth Arcturan Guards were one of the first to receive shipments of the 'Mech, rather than units that were in need. They believed Defiance Industries showed favoritism to the Nineteenth because Emma Klein's son was currently stationed with them. The IPS hired a mercenary company to take out Tobias and his family's Catapult to send a message that the Nineteenth was undeserving of their preferential treatment.[1]
It is unknown if Tobias survived the destruction of his 'Mech.
