Tolodeo Nguyen was a notable small craft commander in the Twenty-second New Samarkand Regulars during the Dark Age Era.[1]

History[edit]

Dai-i Nguyen was part of the Twenty-second New Samarkand Regulars during their 3144 invasion of the Federated Suns world of Cimeron. Fighting against the Fifth Robinson Strikers' skilled aerospace fighters cost the Twenty-second Regulars heavily until the unit's infantry commanders came up with a bold plan to outmaneuver their opponents. Nguyen's squadron of battle armor troop carriers were dispatched towards the Fifth Strikers' airbase under the cover of a massed aerospace and DropShip assault, flying towards the Merron Mountains nap-of the earth and taking the airfield after a brief struggle. When the pilots of the Fifth Strikers landed for rest and repairs, the waiting battle armor squad delivered by Nguyen's airmen sprung their trap and massacred the Strikers' personnel after they disembarked from their craft. While a Fifth Strikers fast response unit reclaimed the airfield twenty minutes later, the damage done by the raiders proved permanent when the FedSuns LCT was forced to destroy its decrewed aircraft rather than abandon them during their retreat from Cimeron.[2][3]

Nguyen was promoted to dai-i following the Cimeron raid and soon returned to New Samarkand, where he was tasked with overseeing the transport contingent of a battalion of special operations battle armor infantry. The local warlord's staff were excited by the small-scale success of the Cimeron action and hoped to replicate it with larger groups of infantry. However, by 3145, all of their proposed exercises would have required too many aerospace escorts to be practical.[1]

Small Craft[edit]

Dai-i Tolodeo Nguyen piloted a Oo-Suzumebachi troop carrier during his service with the Twenty-second New Samarkand Regulars.[1]
