Overview[edit]
The Toorima is the result of a Combine ISF-ordered project begun in 3048, to create a biological weapon capable of killing enemy frogmen in a lab located in Kobe, Solaris City. In 3060, the research team acquired ex–Smoke Jaguar bio-scientists, and several breakthroughs followed. Several of the Toorimas broke free from the lab and killed most of the research team. The six-legged, black-skinned, and prehensile-tentacled beasts then escaped into the nearby harbor.[1][2]
