The Towne Investigative Committee was, as of 3133, a self-proclaimed watchdog group on Towne.[1]

The Towne Investigative Committee observed HPG signals after the Blackout. On 2 August 3133, they, as well as Cerberus, confirmed to INN that Towne had received an exceptional partial HPG transmission that day, with sources in ComStar indicating the signal had come from Achernar. Both the Committee and Cerberus also provided INN reporters background information on HPGs.[1]
