Federated Fast Food Restaurants, known more commonly as Triple-F Restaurants or simply Triple-F, was a large and popular group of fast-food restaurants originating in the Federated Suns.[2][3]
Overview[edit]
Famous for their Triple-F Burgers, made with quarter-pound patties from the meat animal most common to the area, Triple-F was the largest fast food chain in the Federated Suns. Its logo is instantly recognizable to anyone born in the Davion realm, bolstered by food contracts with many local Armed Forces of the Federated Suns and mercenary units[2] [3] (and thereby being at the roots of Beaufort's Cossacks' peculiar mutiny of 2970). Ingredients of Triple-F cuisine are constructed from wheat, beef, corn, sugar, milk, potatoes, pickles, sesame seeds, and whalemeat. The chain most notably does not include lettuce in any of its products. [4] Due to the large variety of local meat options across the regions the restaurant services, aficionados consider the seasoning and the burger sauce the key to Triple F's success.[5]
Triple-F was the first acquisition of Interconnectedness Unlimited, which appeared on Marlette in 2971 virtually fully grown. Observers were shocked that a totally unknown company that seemingly formed overnight had enough capital and assets to swallow such a large and profitable company. Triple-F would be the corporation's largest division and the cornerstone of both its good and bad fortune.[2] [3]
As of 3025, there were over 5,000 Triple-F restaurants in Davion space,[3] with the opening of markets in the Lyran Commonwealth and Sarna March by the early 3030s the company had expanded to almost 25,000. This peak was unfortunately short-lived after the chain became embroiled in a number of high-profile lawsuits and news stories showing instances of stores undercooking using past-date meats that triggered a string of food poisoning incidents on three Sarna March worlds. By 3067, Triple-F could only boast a respectable 15,000 locations across 330 FedSuns worlds, 84 Lyran worlds, and 23 former Sarna March worlds.[2] [3]
Unconfirmed rumors indicate Triple-F's fate during the Jihad was especially dire, with another wave of food poisoning claims, shipping restrictions and widespread government rationing forcing Interconnectedness Unlimited to liquidate the entire chain by 3071.[1]

Notes[edit]
- Triple-F Restaurants are featured on advertising hoarding in Piranha Games Inc.'s MechWarrior Online Legends Solaris City map as well on billboards advertising the Big-T scattered through the procedurally generated maps in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. Triple-F was also a sponsor for procedurally generated arena missions with MechWarrior 5: Solaris Showdown.[6]
- Triple-F Restaurants are mentioned in one of the BattleTech video game's random events, "Happy Accidents". A shipping crate of parts is discovered to also contain frozen Triple-F burger patties which an eager chief-tech Yang Virtanen exclaims are nearly impossible to find in the Periphery. Question marks on condition of the refrigeration unit mean there is a 50% chance the patties are still good, boosting the morale of the technical team for a week, or 50% they have gone off leaving the tech team sick for the same period. Alternate options include directing XO Darius Oliveira to try and sell the patties to third-parties, if the player has upgraded the Argo's hydroponics wing to try recreate an authentic and safe Triple-F Burger instead, or merely incinerating the suspect patties to Yang's dismay.[7]
