Planetary Description[edit]

The planet of Twilight is described as a lonely hunk of grassed-over rock.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Pre–Clan Invasion[edit]

It is not known when the planet was settled, but it was prior to the Clan Invasion.

The planet was not heavily populated. It hosted a small Buddhist Monastery and had some contact with outside systems via JumpShips.[1]

Clan Invasion[edit]

During the Clan Invasion, the Jade Falcons arrived to seize the planet as part of their Periphery actions. They landed elements of Gyrfalcon Galaxy to provide a show of force to the population. BattleMechs and Elementals paraded through every village announcing the world's absorption into the "Sphere of Clan Prosperity". These demonstrations quelled most opposition.

However, a unit sent to a small Buddhist monastery was surprised by the monks actions and their apparent lack of fear of the invaders. The Falcon warriors decided to first destroy the temple, and when this did not cause any reaction, they resorted to torturing the monastery's abbot. This triggered a response for amongst the monks there was one Sarah "Cat" Kattrin. She had been a Chu-sa in the Draconis Combine's Sword of Light Regiments and was a honored instructor. Although 59 at the time, Sarah threw off her robes and challenged the unit's commander to personal combat. The Falcon commander in return accepted the challenge.[1]

The fight consisted of Star Commander Briggan piloting his Kit Fox-A against Sarah Kattrin in her Phoenix Hawk, dubbed Self-Deception and awarded to Sarah by a grateful Combine. Although out of practice, Kattrin was able to surprise her enemy with her skill while also delivered several damaging blows. However, Briggan's skill and more advanced technology slowly began to turn the tide by damaging Sarah's Phoenix Hawk severely. Finally, with no functional weapons left, Sarah attempted a Death from Above attack which failed leaving her Mech immobile and helpless on the ground. Briggan then took the opportunity to guide his damaged 'Mech over to fire into the Phoenix Hawk's cockpit before reaching his 'Mech's hand inside to bring out Sarah's corpse to hold it triumphantly aloft.[1]
