History[edit]
Ty piloted Gray Lady, the Falco family BattleMech (likely a Centurion[See Notes]), until 2970 when he lost his nerve and backed out of a deathmatch on Illyria. He offered his tech Temperance MacCaulay, who would later describe him as a drunkard on a downward spiral at the time, ownership of the 'Mech if she would take his place in the match. She accepted and by sheer luck managed to knock out her opponent's engine, thus claiming Gray Lady.[1]
Notes[edit]
- ^ While the exact type of 'Mech Gray Lady was is not specified, art featured with the story depicts a woman (presumably MacCauley) working on a 'Mech that has Gray Lady written on it. The 'Mech's visible head section in the picture is very likely that of a Centurion, with distinctive details virtually identical to the Centurion as depicted in the original Technical Readout: 3025.
