Planetary History[edit]

Tyrfing was a planet or system within the Terran Hegemony; located near Talitha and Pollux, Tyrfing was the capital world of the Tyrfing Province during the Star League era.

Free Worlds League Annexation[edit]

Tyrfing was annexed by the Free Worlds League during 2786.[34]

Second Succession War[edit]

Tyrfing vanished from maps during the Second Succession War. [13][16]

NOTE: Tyrfing was the original homeworld of the 193rd Mechanized Infantry Division. As of early 2764 however it was assigned to L Corps, Sixteenth Army and was based on Espakeh, which was then part of District 3 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[citation needed]

  • Amaris Empire Armed Forces garrison, composition uncertain. During that year the planet was liberated by the SLDF's Fifth Army and Twelfth Fleet after a fiercely fought campaign. However, the Amaris forces had used so many nuclear, biological and chemical weapons trying to hold on to the world, that the SLDF were ultimately forced to evacuate most of the planet's surviving population.[citation needed]
