Uploading Images[edit]
Hi, K'Braid!
I see you are uploading some images relating to the video games. I want to bring this to your attention: the template we use when uploading images.
All you have to do is add this:
{{Image summary | summary = | artist = | source = | licensing = {{fair use}} }}
when you upload an image, and fill in only what you know. A summary absolutely, and where you got it from. You may not know the artist: if you don't, leave that blank, and it will automatically add the image to a category for images that need more attention in that regard.
If you have questions, ask me, or better yet Cache, who is the Senior Editor for images.
Thanks for contributing!--Talvin (talk) 19:04, 2 July 2022 (EDT)
MW5 images[edit]
Hi K'Braid, thanks for taking the time to upload those 4 transparent organization images. While normally we prefer doing that, it brings up particular issues with these images. These logos feature a lot of white borders. In game, the logos are typically displayed on a black/dark background so they pop up cleanly. On Sarna, our default background is white, which makes some parts of the images difficult or impossible to see. It may be acceptable for Inter-System Advocacy, and possibly Avalon Shipping (although we lose the white trimming), Apex Mining Syndicate ends up looking quite thin and we lose the entire outside frame of Coalition of Farmers. I'm feeling like we should change at least the last two. What do you think? Csdavis715 (talk) 00:17, 10 March 2024 (EST)
- hey Csdavis, one of the main reasons driving me to upload the transparent images was noticing that the images had artifacting as a result of the removal of the images alpha, causing distortions to the logos that shouldn't be there. would a cleaner black background or partially transparent background be more acceptable? - I think what you just did looks good. Cheers Csdavis715 (talk) 01:05, 10 March 2024 (EST)
