The Vela Sheet (not to be confused with the Vela Nebula) was a molecular cloud located in the Deep Periphery.[1]

The Vela Sheet was the name given to a molecular cloud (or stellar nursery) located in the coreward region of the Deep Periphery, on the far side of the Gum Nebula from the Inner Sphere. The region was a notable astrographical feature.[1]

The Vela Sheet was first identified in 2012 with the publication of Interstellar Expeditions: Interstellar Players 3. Other than the location of the Vela Sheet and its definition as a molecular cloud, no information was provided on the feature; in the absence of further information on the Deep Periphery no further detail is likely to be available for the Vela Sheet.
