Victoria Dales was a notable MechWarrior in the First Syrtis Fusiliers during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History[edit]
During the Capellan Confederation's invasion of Spica in 3144, Sergeant Dales and her lance put up heavy resistance against their numerically-superior foes. In a battle against an entire company of Capellan BattleMechs, Dales and her comrades utilized their ER PPCs and covering fire from a Salamander's LRMs to devastate the larger force. Matters for the Capellans were worsened when they were channeled onto a narrow street by mines and battle armor troopers, forcing two of them to charge Dales' lance at a time and leading to the destruction of five machines before the Federated Suns lance withdrew. After changing the configurations of their OmniMechs—and with ECM coverage provided by friendly VTOLs—Dales' team went back into the fight the next day, striking at their disorganized enemies and disabling six more 'Mechs before an offensive from two entire companies forced them to retreat.[2][3]
Following the evacuation of Spica, Dales joined the rest of the First Syrtis Fusiliers in their new posting on Frazer. Eager to get back into the fight against the Capellans, Dales had been overhead expressing a desire to desert from the Fusiliers in order to join Colonel Damon Hasek-Greer's raiding force in its attacks against the Confederation.[1]
