Kaumberg was a center of RetroTech production during the Jihad, with the Wechsel Royal Industrial Repair and Heavy Machining producing primitive versions of the Commando and Phoenix. Production of these 'Mechs continued in a limited fashion after the Jihad, supplying the commercial market.[2] Located within the Barony of Wechsel, the company also produced the Copper and a militarized version of the Crosscut.[1]
