Willemina Surn was the commanding officer of the First Battalion of the Fourth Tau Ceti Rangers during the Fourth Succession War.[1]
History[edit]
In 3029, Surn's battalion of the Fourth Tau Ceti Rangers was stationed alongside the First Battalion of Hurloc's Hussars and the planetary militia of Remshield when the planet was invaded by the Davion Light Guards. When the Light Guards' BattleMech forces landed at the city of Jewel Box's spaceport, deep within the Capellan's lines, Surn lead her soldiers in an attempt to head the Guards off. While the battle initially went well for the Rangers, the lighter Guards 'Mech's mobility ultimately allowed them to outmaneuver and outflank the heavier Rangers. Surn's unit would retreat from both Jewel Box and Remshield, while the Light Guards used the city's rail system to quickly reach and destroy the Hurloc's Hussars troops defending Remshield's other primary city.[1]
