Yin Pah is an elderly oriental gentleman. He is a known Yakuza, and a dangerous warlord, second in power within his Yakuza family on Solaris in 3053. Though most people would think the money made by the Yakuza comes from shady gambling (and it is true it is a big part of their income), they also have a direct role in fight-fixing and selling information. Fight-fixing is Yin Pah's line of business, and crossing him brings swift death as he is not above to hire assassins in case of any deception against him. What most people don't know is that he is the second most powerful yakuza in Solaris. He is always seen with his bodyguards, correct, well dressed soldiers with good fighting skills.[1][2]

The Yakuza family of Yin Pah is never specified in Unbound, but that is because at the time of that publication, the complex structure of Yakuza in the BattleTech universe had not yet been created.
