Yuko Nogami was a minor MechWarrior in Solaris VII, piloting a Venom in The Reaches Arenas.
When Theodore Kurita made "legal" for Combine citizens to fight on Solaris, he followed suit and joined the DCMS military as a rank soldier thanks to Theodore Kurita's military reforms, and got assigned to the Ryuken-go.
He participated in Operation Bulldog facing the Smoke Jaguars' Seventeenth Regulars on Garstedt which proved a much tougher opponent. Then Gun-sho Yuko Nogami distinguished himself as part of Beta Company of the Ryuken-go Third Battalion, in the final battle for the planet in Nümburg Canyon.
He continued his exceptional performance in the liberation of Matsuida and An Ting during the FedCom Civil War and in the reprisals on Cassias. After less than a decade, Nogami has risen to command the company he once fought in without rank.[1]
