Yuri Ridzik was one of Pavel Ridzik's twin sons.[3]

History[edit]

Along with his twin brother Nikolai Ridzik, Yuri seemingly inherited their famed father's gift for military strategy, prior to 3058 building an extensive network of contacts within the Federated Commonwealth's Sarna March, long dreaming of a chance to see the rebirth of their father's Tikonov Free Republic.[4]

In the wake of Operation GUERRERO and the collapse of the Sarna March into the so-called Chaos March, both brothers quickly raised a small army which they took to the newly independent world of Hall. Initially hidden far from the conflict between Emperor William Baranov and Count Radcliffe McNally, the brother's plan was for their army led by Nikolai to conquer and overthrow Baranov and the other rivals to secure Hall as the capital of the reborn Tikonov Free Republic before gathering more troops to capture Elgin, Hsien and Tall Trees for their new nation.[4] [3]

Death and Legacy[edit]

Hoping to have a large enough force by the end of 3058 to overthrow the self-styled Emperor, Yuri and his brother had underestimated "Bud" Baranov who was aware of their presence on Hall and the threat represented by the twin sons of his former Commander. Baranov skilfully cultivated an atmosphere of mistrust between the brothers by playing on their fears and in short order the "Idiot Twin"s as Baranov called them were at each other's throats. The disappearance of Nikolai Ridzik forced Yuri to flee Hall for Solaris VII, abandoning any hopes of a revived Tikonov Free Republic.[3]

At March 3067, a mysterious man which claimed to be Nikolai Ridzik appeared on Hall, but after he was killed in combat, another man which pretended to be Yuri Ridzik, it was uncovered than both Ridziks were simply impostors working for the Word of Blake to take control of Hall.[5]
