Overview
The 101st Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.[1]
History
The 101st formed a part of LVII Corps, Sixth Army, and in 2764 was stationed in District 2 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region. Following the New Vandenberg Uprising the 101st was deployed into an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765.[1]
The 101st survived the Periphery Uprising, but took heavy losses during the Hegemony Campaign and by 2784 the division had been disbanded. Elements of the 101st joined the Lyran Commonwealth after the division was disbanded.[1]
Tactics
The Mechanised Infantry Divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech Divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.
Composition History
As an SLDF mechanized infantry division the Division would have been formed from one brigade of BattleMech regiments and two brigades of mechanized infantry.[2]
