10th Jaguar Regulars (Clan Smoke Jaguar)

Unit Description

The 10th Jaguar Regulars Cluster was a second-line military formation of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

History

Operation Bulldog

The 10th Jaguars Regulars were assigned to Omega Galaxy in the Smoke Jaguar's Occupation Zone in 3059. The unit was assigned as vanguard to Omega's Galaxy Command Trinary on Jeronimo. The unit' headed by Bloodname Officer, Ralph Kotare, was a die-hard crusader, whom which was outraged when 14th Alshain Avengers arrived on planet and declared its intentions to reclaim the planet as part of the reborn Star League.

He and the Omega's Command Trinary, fought a bitter campaign against the 14th Alshain Avengers. The fighting had lasted until the Fourth Wave of Operation Bulldog, where elite frontline Inner Sphere forces arrived in September. It was then, that 10th Jaguars fought a delaying action which allow the Galaxy's Command Trinary to withdraw from the planet in July.

In September the elite SLDF unit landed on planet as part of the clean up phase of the Operation. The Cluster at first fought from Topside Woods areas, but Kell Hounds and Davion Assault Guard forced the Garrison into the in region of Jeronimo called the Stormcast Plains. The 10th Jaguar's Command Trinary, fought the lead elements of the 1st Kell Hounds and 1st Wolf Legion. While other elements of the Cluster fought rest of the invaders. However, the SLDF's artillery and aerospace forces proved too much for the cluster, which ending being broken after three days of fighting. The Avengers among other units, had sought revenge the losses it had accrued in early fights. By end of the Battle, the Cluster only included 16 survivors which majority were spread between the Kell Hounds's 1st Battalion and Wolf Legion. However, Star Colonel Ralph Kotare was also taken alive and moved to Luthien for interrogation.

As of 3059, the commanding officer of the unit was Star Colonel Ralph Kotare.

Notes

The 10th Jaguars only appeared in the Dragon Roars scenario book as of this writing.

The Dragon Roars Special Rules

During the Let Slip the Dogma of War, the 10th Jaguar Regulars receive a +2 to their initiative while Star Colonel Ralph Kotare is in command and active in the fight. Should he be removed from battle, the unit suffers from a -1 initiative for remainder of the battle.</ref>
