History
As of 3025, the Fifteenth Deneb Light Cavalry was stationed on Verlo. [1]
They were upgraded to RCT status in 3027. By 3062, their homeworld was Demeter. [2]
FedCom Civil War
During the FedCom Civil War, the 15th faced off against the pro-Victor Fifth Crucis Lancers. The triggering event was the loss of a Fifteenth DLC Combat Command. Thinking that the Fifth Crucis Lancers were responsible, the Fifteenth attacked. The Fifth Lancers destroyed their supplies however, and after three weeks the Fifteenth DLC had to withdraw.[3]
The Fifteenth landed on Algol just in time to see the destruction of the Second Republican at the hands of the Twelfth Vegan Rangers' Beta and Gamma regiments. The Ranger regiments then turned their attention to the Fifteenth DLC, trying to destroy them. The Vegan Rangers were reinforced by the Fifth Crucis Lancers, who had followed the Fifteenth Deneb Light Cavalry to Algol. The Deneb Light Cavalry and the other Loyalist regiments slowly began to overwhelm the pro-Victor forces.[4] Unfortunately for the Fifteenth, the Twelfth Vegan Rangers Alpha regiment arrived on Algol, and tipped the balance of power. The Fifteenth, now reinforced with the survivors of the Republican Guard regiments, left Algol in October.[5]
Arriving on Tikonov, the Fifteenth faced the Davion Assault Guards. The Assault Guards inflicted serious losses on the Light Cavalry unit, forcing them to pull back. The Fifteenth seized Fort Pavel Ridzik and held off Allied forces. Shortly after this the Sixth Crucis Lancers surrounded the fort and began bombarding it.[6] After Fort Pavel Ridzik was breached, the Fifteenth DLC evacuated Tikonov and went to Marlette.[7] There they would surrender to Victor's Allied forces on the 20th of February 3067, but only after months of fighting, having fallen back with the other Loyalist forces from the cities of Hedon's Path and Jaweh into the Norret Mountain range. The Fifteenth were the last major Loyalist unit to survive on Marlette, as the battles in February claimed first the First Republican, then the Marlette Crucis March Militia, and finally the Fifth Lyran Guards before finally cornering the Fifteenth - and it was only after the capture of Marshal Michael Lipstein that the surviving elements of the regiment surrendered.[8][9]
Aftermath of the Jihad
The Fifteenth wasn't listed as an active combat command at the beginning of the Jihad, and the entirety of the Deneb Light Cavalry brigade to survive the Jihad ended up either being converted into planetary militia forces for Deneb Kaitos and other nearby systems,[10] or were gifted to the newly-formed Republic of the Sphere, becoming part of the Republic Armed Forces.[11]

Tactics
Like the other Deneb Light Cavalry RCTs, the 15th DLC used their superior speed and mobility to outmaneuver their foes, which is rather surprising, since the 15th Deneb Light Cavalry is a heavy 'Mech regiment.[2]
