The First Andurien Cavalry was a combined arms quick-response regiment which was formed in 3095 by the Duchy of Andurien.

Created in 3095, the First Andurien Cavalry was formed as a rapid reaction unit to assist the Andurien Defense Force in defending the Duchy's recently expanded borders. Emphasizing high mobility and light unit tactics, the First Cavalry performed its role against pirates and raiders from neighboring states so well that a second Cavalry regiment was formed in 3101.[1]
However, the regiment's first engagement in a full-scale war also proved to be its last. Tasked with conquering Fronde during the Victoria War, the First Cavalry was intercepted en route to the planet by the defending Kraken Unleashed's aerospace wing, the Air Kraken. Not only were the Andurien aerospace fighters destroyed but the mercenary pilots were then able to freely obliterate the Cavalry DropShips conveying the regiment's conventional forces. The Cavalry's BattleMechs made it to the planet only to be annihilated by the Kraken Unleashed's ground units.[2]
In the aftermath of the Victoria War, the ADF chose not to rebuild the First Andurien Cavalry.[3]
