The First New Avalon Military Academy Training Battalion or First NAMA was one of three regiments of troops mustered from the cadet classes of the New Avalon Military Academy during the First Succession War. Formed at some point after 2786, the First saw combat on at least one world during the War.[1]

- At this point in time the First NAMA was a light-weight unit operating at just below half-strength, and was based on Crossing alongside two other Training Battalions, the First and Fourth Sakhara Academy Training Battalions. In 2821 the command was reduced to 44 percent of its strength and was deployed on Crossing.[1]
