History

Clan Hell's Horses

The unit was originally the 229th Mechanized Strike Cluster of Clan Hell's Horses known as the Artemis Cluster. It was stationed on Niles in 3059 [1] and on Tiber in 3067.[2]

Clan Stone Lion

After the creation of Clan Stone Lion in 3075 during the Wars of Reaving, the Cluster was renamed the 229th Iron Guards and became part of that Clan's Touman.[3]

Officers

Clan Hell's Horses

In 3059 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Quinna, [4] by 3067 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Trent Dudzinsky.[2]

Clan Stone Lion

In 3085 the Guards were commanded by Star Colonel Stone Moreau.[5]

Tactics

The Cluster makes extensive use of aerospace fighters to harass its opponents.

Rules

When rolling random Mech assignment - re-roll any design that does not feature at least one SRM or LRM launcher. If the second Mech is also missile free the player may chose either design. [6]

Notes

  • The Cluster favours missile equipped units.
