History
The Twenty-second New Samarkand Regulars were formed after the loss of Galedon V. They and the 12th New Samarkand Regulars were stationed on Nykvarn when Clan Diamond Shark issued a Trial of Possession for a trading enclave on the world. The Regulars lost that Trial, suffering heavy losses.[1] They were promptly pulled back by the High Command, and in 3085 they were the garrison for Bad News.[2]
Dark Age
In the Dark Age Era the Twenty-second was the preferred offensive unit of the New Samarkand Regulars. They were used to conquer Cimeron. Like all the New Samarkand Regulars at this time, they only had two battalions of BattleMechs.[3] They were stationed on Fallon II in 3145.[4]
