The 23rd Lyran Regulars was a BattleMech regiment in service to Lyran Commonwealth during the Second Succession War.
History
Following Elizabeth Steiner's assumption of the Archonship in 2859, she dissolved the regency. The Archon appointed Henry DeCalidore to command of a new regiment, the 23rd Lyran Regulars, stationed in Zosma along with orders to head to the Combine front to ensure he was kept too busy to do anything else than oversee his new regiment.[1] [2]
The unit was stationed on Sakhalin when it was raided by Draconis Combine forces in February 2860. The raid spearheaded by a large number of DCMS Land Air 'Mechs, while the Lyran forces were able to successfully repulse the Combine forces after inflicting heavy losses upon them, the Kurita troops were successful in killing the commander of Lyran defenses.[3]
The 23rd Lyran Regulars Supposed to be destroyed on Sakhalin between 2860 and 2863 as by 2964 the unis had already been destroyed.[4]
