The 2555th Royal Jump Infantry Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LIX Corps, Twentieth Army, to the Periphery Military Region.[1] Like the other independent regiments assigned to LIX Corps, it wasn't assigned to a Regimental Combat Team. Instead it was attached directly to LIX Corps headquarters and functioned as General Chou's special investigation unit.[2]
The 2555th was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[1]

Composition History
As an SLDF Jump Infantry Regiment the 2555th would have been formed from three Battalions of Jump Troops.[3]
