History

Lead the attack on the Kurita planet of Alnasi in the War of 3039 and successfully conquered the planet on the 25th April 3039.[1]

During the Clan Invasion the Twenty Sixth was stationed on Tamar.[2] There they resisted the invasion of Clan Wolf's Alpha Galaxy and Golden Keshik, an invasion led by Natasha Kerensky. They stopped Alpha Galaxy cold, holding them off for six hours in their first engagement. After a few hours rest, the Clan Wolf warriors forced the Twenty-Sixth out of their prepared positions and the Guards fell back to another line of defenses located in a forest to deter aerospace attacks. The heavy woods allowed two headhunter Stars of Elementals to strike at the Guard's command units, throwing the unit into chaos. Kerensky then unleashed the rest of Alpha Galaxy at exactly the right time to capitalize on the confusion, forcing the Twenty-Sixth Lyran Guards to abandon their defensive location in the woods.[3]

The Lyran Guards tried to gain access to Tamar City but the Duke of Tamar, Selvin Kelswa, refused to open the fortified gates to the Guards. Denied access to the city, the Twenty-Sixth made a stand outside the city gates. Airstrikes by Alpha Galaxy fighters broke their formation, and the Thirteenth Wolf Guards forced the Lyran Guards to retreat off-world. They relocated to Kobe, hoping to recover.[3]

Officers

In 3025 the commanding officer was Leutnant-Colonel Woodruff Patterson.[4]

During the Tamar assault, the 26th was commanded by Marshal Joy Corelli.[3] She was also in command in 3050.[2]

In 3062 the commanding officer was Leutnant-General Jinders Green-Davion.[5]

Tactics

The CO put the heavy machines in the possible ay of the enemy and use the DropShips to drop smaller units on to of the opponent with devastating effect.[5]
