The 287th Heavy Assault Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History[edit]

Due to lack of activity in the early 2760s, the 287th was known to challenge Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery MechWarriors to Gunslinger-type duels. The 287th had won three and lost only one, though L Corps requested that the unit tone it down to save on equipment repair costs.[1]

In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the L Corps, Sixteenth Army, to District 3 of the Draconis Combine Military Region but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery to take part in the Periphery Uprising by 2765. The 287th survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[2]
